The story behind

Ribe’s old Town Hall was built before 1496 and has been used as the town’s city hall from 1708 until 2007, when the last town councilor meeting was held. On the walls in old Commoner’s hall hang a collection of portraits of vassals and councilors from 1600-1900.

When The Danish Family Court send us e-mail that your application for marriage is approved, we will immediately book a date and time for your wedding day at Ribe Town Hall.

Yes, you can bring two witnesses. You must let us know if you have any witnesses so we can inform the staff at Wedding Office.

If you do not have the opportunity to take witnesses, then Ribe Town Hall will provide witnesses.

You must attend Ribe Town Hall for twenty minutes before your wedding day. The Wedding Office is open Friday between 9 am to 1 pm.

You must bring all the original documents that you have sent to Wedding Planner Denmark and present them to the staff at Wedding Office.
