HOW TO GET TO TONDER TOWN HALL?
Tonder Town City is an attractive wedding venue for many foreign couples because the distance is very short.
If you drive from Hamburg to Tonder Town Hall, the drive will take 2 hours. Find the route here.
If you land at Billund Airport and choose to take public transport to Tonder Town Hall, the trip will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
THE STORY BEHIND
Tonder Town Hall consists of an older part, built by Gunnløgsson and Nielsen in 1980-81, after a competition won in 1976, and a 3,000 m large new extension, which became necessary after the municipal amalgamation, and almost doubles the volume of the house.
Sleth built the new part after a competition won in 2013. The old part of the house is marked by its postmodern contemporaries. Still, it appears in acceptable interaction with Tønder town via its simple and elaborate volume in brick with load-bearing structures in concrete.
The new extension is built as a light, light pavilion that reflects the surroundings between the light gray aluminum elements. The extension stands on a tile floor, which also spans the new courtyard, and binds the latest and the old part together into a whole.

Can we book a date at Tonder Town Hall as soon as The Danish Family Court has approved my wedding in Denmark?
When The Danish Family Court send e-mail to Wedding Planner Denmark that your application of marriage is approved, we will immediately book a date and time for your wedding day at Tonder Town Hall.
Can we bring our witnesses to the wedding ceremony?
Yes, you can bring two witnesses. You must let us know if you have any witnesses, so we can inform the staff at Wedding Office.
If you do not have the opportunity to take witnesses, then Tonder Town Hall will provide witnesses.
What days should we present the documents?
You must attend Tonder Town Hall for half an hour before your wedding day. The Wedding Office is open Monday from 10 am to 2 pm, Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Friday from 9 am to 12 pm.
You must bring all the original documents that you have sent to Wedding Planner Denmark and present them to the staff at Wedding Office.
