How to get to Esbjerg / Ribe City Hall?
As a couple, you can get married at Esbjerg City Hall or Old City Hall in Ribe, one of the oldest city halls in Denmark. The City Hall in Ribe is a small and romantic place to get married.
If you land at Billund Airport and choose to take public transport to Esbjerg, the trip will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. On the other hand, if you have to drive by car to Esbjerg, the journey takes about 50 minutes.
If you land in Hamburg and choose to drive by car to Esbjerg, it will take about 3 hours and 10 minutes. You can also choose to travel by public transport, which will take about 4 hours and 50 minutes. Find the route here.
You can get married on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
When The Danish Family Court send us e-mail that your application for marriage is approved, we will immediately book a date and time for your wedding day at Esbjerg or Ribe City Hall.
Yes, you can bring two witnesses. You must let us know if you have any witnesses so we can inform the staff at Wedding Office.
If you do not have the opportunity to take witnesses, then Esbjerg/Ribe City Hall will provide witnesses.
You must attend Esbjerg / Ribe City Hall for twenty minutes before your wedding day. The Wedding Office is open Monday to Friday between 9 am to 1 pm.
You must bring all the original documents that you have sent to Wedding Planner Denmark and present them to the staff at Wedding Office.
